Judge’s Companion

Designed for judges and event staff, Judge’s Companion allows users to enter scores, record and upload routine videos, sign athletes in and scan tickets.

It’s completely free to use and is accessible through your browser, or on all Apple and Android phones and tablets.

Enter Scores

If your a judge who needs to enter scores for a Gym Art meet, you can enter execution and difficulty scores

Supervise Competitions

If your a designated supervisor for a competition, you can use Judge’s Companion to overview and edit all scores and videos entered

Scan Tickets

As a volunteer or event staff, you can scan tickets of the people coming to watch the competition. Scanning the spectators QR code with Judge’s Companion will show their tickets.

Routine Videos

Easily record and upload routine performance videos for athletes in a Gym Art meet. They are optionally published to the Gym Art app, and are accessible for revision.

No-internet required

If the competition organizer is running a no-internet server, you can still enter scores even without the internet. You’ll just have to make sure you’re connected to the local network on your device.

Athlete Sign-In

You can easily sign athletes in when they come to pick up their accreditation or are arriving to the competition for the first time.

  • Judge's Companion is made for judges and event staff to submit scores, upload routine performance videos, scan tickets, and sign in athletes

  • Yes, Judge's Companion and all of it's functionalities are completely free to use and will remain so.

  • The meet organizer needs to provide you with the meet password and your designated access code. Entering in both will identity you and show you the tasks you've been assigned.

  • Our meet scheduling software, Gym Art Meets allows the organizer to run a server over the local network. All that means is that everyone connected to the same WiFi is able to upload scores without the internet.

    It's worth noting the distinction between the internet and WiFi as the terms can be confounded: WiFi is a method for devices to communicate with each other (it's like bluetooth). Whereas internet connection means that the router is able to send and receive information anywhere in the world.

    All modern routers have WiFi, but not all are connected to the internet.

  • Yes, the scores can be modified.

    If the final score has not yet been submitted, you can always go back and modify any scores you entered.

    If the score has been fully submitted by the head judge, then they must first revoke the score.

  • Yes, head judges and supervisors are able to scratch an athlete.

    Scratching an athlete means marking the routine as 'Did Not Compete' and sets their score to 0.

    Scratching is reversible meaning you can unscratch a scratched athlete.
